Whether you are expecting a new baby, have recently moved to our area, or are looking for a new doctor for your children, we thank you for trusting us with your child’s health. We welcome new patients starting at birth to age 18 years. Established patients can be seen up to age 22 years.

Vaccinations
Desert Bloom Pediatrics requires that all patients adhere to the CDC-recommended immunization schedule endorsed by the American Academy of Pediatrics (AAP), except in the rare instance of a medical contraindication to immunizations. Please read our complete vaccination policy.

Dr. Garza rounds on newborns at the following hospitals:
When registering, let the staff know that Dr. Garza is your PCP, and she will see your baby during your hospitalization. If you are giving birth at a different hospital, another physician will round on your baby, and you will follow up with Dr. Garza after discharge. The doctor seeing your baby will tell you when to schedule this appointment, which is usually 2-5 days after discharge. Call our office as soon as you are discharged so we can schedule this appointment.
Before Your First Visit
- Please review our vaccination policy.
- Please review our financial policy.
- Contact your insurance company to confirm we are in-network.If you are not in network with DBP, we are happy to see you on an out-of-network or cash pay basis. Change your Primary Care Provider (PCP) to Dr. Garza, if necessary.
- Call our office to create a portal account.
- Complete our new patient forms.New patient forms will be sent to you through your portal account to electronically acknowledge and sign. If you prefer to print and physically sign our documents, download our new patient packet and either bring it to your first visit or scan and send it to us through your portal account.
What to Bring
- Please bring these items with you to your first visit.
- Your driver’s license or other form of ID
- Your current insurance card
- A copy of your child’s immunization record
- Your child’s previous medical recordsIf you have the records, please bring them with you. If not, bring a signed copy of our medical release form so we can request them from your previous provider.
